Great news!The entry deadline for the upcoming Plants, Birds and Pollinators exhibit at the Denver Botanic Gardens has been extended one week! If you were at the conference or traveling on your summer vacation, or just hopelessly behind schedule (and who isn’t?), this is your redemption. (Thank you, Mervi!)

NEW ENTRY DEADLINE: The submission closes 08.11.2013, 11:59 p.m. MST NOTE: This is Mountain Standard Time! No further extensions will be granted, no more excuses… time to get busy!

The Denver Botanic Gardens and the GNSI are pleased to announce a premier juried exhibition opportunity for GNSI members only, highlighting the subject matter of plants, birds, and pollinators. Subjects may include plants only or animals only (birds, mammals, insects, reptiles & amphibians, etc), but judging weight will be given to images that emphasize plants and their relationships with their pollinators.

Original art only (includes prints of digital works) in 2- or 3-dimensions. Jurying emphasis will be on both artistic excellence and scientific accuracy.

The GNSI is excited to co-host this excellent opportunity for our members to showcase (and maybe sell!) their work to a wide audience in a superb venue. Start planning a submission now!

Entry fee: $25.Only entries submitted digitally via CallForEntry.org will be considered. Final 2D 16 x 20 matted works must be delivered to the Gardens no later than October 14, 2013 for framing.

Dedicated to observation of the natural world, the Denver Botanic Gardens’ Botanical Art & Illustration Certificate Program is now in its 22nd year and is home to a strong curriculum that hones an artist’s ability to render beautiful, accurate plants in a variety of media. The Gardens welcomes more than 800,000 visitors each year.
