The Milwaukee Arts Board is pleased to announce a new funding cycle for
its fund devoted to the conservation of public art in the City of
Milwaukee. At the recommendation of the Public Art Subcommittee, the
Board has allocated $10,000 for conservation projects in this cycle.
Funds will be disbursed in increments of $1,000, with no single award
totaling more than $5,000. In this first cycle, $10,000 will be
available (with a limit of $5,000 for any single project).

The Milwaukee Arts Board is interested in funding projects of
historical, cultural and aesthetic importance throughout the City. We
ask that you forward the application and guidelines (see link, below) as
widely as possible.

information on goals, restrictions, eligibility and matching
requirements. The current application, which needs to be submitted
viae-mail, is due at or before midnight on January 31, 2012.

you may contact Polly Morris, chair of the Public Art Subcommittee, at
artsboard@milwaukee.gov.

The 25th Annual WASHINGTON CRAFT SHOW, November 16, 17, & 18, 2012, sponsored by Crafts America, will be held at the Washington Convention Center in the heart of Washington, D.C. It is a multi-media crafts exhibition and sale focusing on contemporary American craft. This prestigious show features 190 artists who are jury selected from all over the United States. This is an excellent opportunity for artists who work in the field of fine craft to present their work to a sophisticated multi-national marketplace at a national highly rated show with a strong established audience base.


About the Westchester Craft Show:

The 19th Annual WESTCHESTER CRAFT SHOW, October 12, 13, 14, 2012 is a beautiful showcase of contemporary American fine craft. This juried show, featuring 110 distinguished craft artists from all over the United States, accesses one of the most sophisticated and established marketplaces in the country. It has proven to be an important venue for crafts artists to expand their customer base and sales opportunities.

The Fox Tail Art Fair  in The Learning Gardens at Kradwellwill be held on SATURDAY,  MAY 19,  2012 from 11:00 – 5:00.

Kradwell is an alternative school located on the historic grounds of Aurora Behavioral Health overlooking downtown Wauwatosa, WI.  Our show is a benefit for the Kradwell Scholarship Fund.  (You may learn more about the program and the many lives touched through visiting kradwell.org

 The Fox Tail Art Fair will be held in and around the beautiful Learning Gardens.  Pictures and video of this unique display venue are also available at the website.

Eligibility

The show is open to Wisconsin artists 18 years and older. All 2D and 3D entries must be original and must have been executed within 5 years of entry date and not previously been displayed in the Delafield Arts Center. At this time jewelry and clothing arts are not accepted. Artists with 3D works (sculptures, ceramics, glass) must provide their own pedestals. We emphasize we do not insure your work, but will provide a source for procuring insurance if you wish.

Please read the DAC prospectus and complete the entry form portion.  Please submit the completed entry form and images on a CD.  Please write the artist’s name on the CD.  CDs can be mailed or dropped off at the Delafield Arts Center.
