Paramont Grille Dinner and Art, Grafton Wisconsin

A unique dinning experience offered by the Paramount Grille & Bakehouse; HARVEST AND ART

that brought you to a farm to dine outdoors, a truly unique meal by chief Brian that included
Handmade Chips, Baked Acorn Squash Soup, Oven roasted Apple Stuffed Chicken, Farm Fresh Vegetables
Homemade Bread. Desert was a Rustic Tart with fall fruits by Bakehouse Farms.

Paired with dinner was a wine tasting by Vino 100 of Grafton that complemented the meal.

Dinning was just outside the doors of a big red barn, white linen table cloths, beautiful organic center pieces made by the Bloomin’ Olive.

And then there was Art; as you entered the Barn three Artisans displayed their work and worked a piece of art before your eyes. Dawn Hartman displayed and painted her smiling flower windows.  Photographer (I will post her name shortly).

Lisa Docter had emailed me a while back to purpose this unique event and asked me to create a work on site. I do this often for businesses and private events and at a number of the Art Fairs I attend.

To watch an Artisan create a work of art in person is fascinating for the viewer. I believe it demystifies Art and allows you to see up close a how an artisan thinks and works.

I started with a blank canvas of clay, since I was outdoors the trees on the farm inspired my work. I used two types of clay a red stoneware and a white stoneware. The red in the tree will fire a deep brown which will enhance the look of the tree. I added a woman’s face hidden behind falling leaves of Autumn and a bird which was later put in her hand.

Please excuse the darkness of the images
